Please read the entire Terms & Conditions before using this website, making a purchase on this site, using our services, or relying on the content published within it or within any of our products. For privacy information regarding this website please visit our privacy policy page. If you make a purchase from Specialty Casting we will assume that you have read and understand our Disclaimer, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Ordering
- Specialty Casting is not responsible for incorrect ordering. When possible, all orders should be placed on our website to help automate ordering and payment processing. If you have difficulties placing an order on our website please contact your Specialty Casting account representative or use our Contact form.
- If you have a deadline date for a custom project, it must be provided when the job/order is submitted to us. See FAQ deadline questions for more info.
- If providing us a rubber mold or wax to cast, please print our Contract Casting Form and Terms & Agreement PDF, and include completed with the items.
- When sending your own stones, please follow these guidelines:
- Your company name and what job the stones are intended for must be included with the stones. Do not have a 3rd-party vendor send us a stone parcel and it not include your company name and what job they are for.
- If stones are to be used in a custom CAD job, the stones must be received prior to the CAD being started.
- If the stones are in a mounting and we are to remove them and use in a new project: The stones will be removed, cleaned and measured prior to the customer CAD being started.
- Send calibrated and usable stones with a tolerance of +/- 0.15mm. For example, 1.85mm-2.15mm stones are usually acceptable if they are to be set in a setting made to accept 2.0mm stones.
- Stones out of tolerance may be replaced which will incur additional charge. Replacement stones will be charged based on current prices. Unused stones will be returned.
- Please make sure the stones are not chipped or broken.
- We do not do invisible setting. Do not send grooved stones.
- Specialty Casting cannot and will not be held liable for any damage or losses caused during the setting of customer provided stones or stone removal from jewelry per the customer’s request.
- As breakage can be a common issue, we recommends that additional stones be provided in order to prevent production delays. Jobs that require more than 30 stones, it is recommended to send 10% extra stones. Any and all unused customer stones will be returned.
- Stone Breakage and Loss Policy Disclaimer: Specialty Casting cannot and will not be held liable for any damage or losses caused during the setting of customer provided stones or stone removal from jewelry per the customer’s request.
Payment
- We accept credit cards, bank transfer, business and cashier checks for payment
- Online orders must be paid with a credit card at time of checkout
- Custom products/services for a new customer, once invoiced, may require a deposit prior to work being performed and will require payment prior to shipping your first order
- Net 30 terms for "good standing" customers that we invoice for custom projects and services
- Once we create an invoice, you will receive an email to pay with credit card or bank transfer. If paying by check, it must be post-marked before the Net 30 due date. A copy of the invoice is also included with the items shipped.
- Failure to pay by an invoice due date, your account will be considered delinquent (see below).
Delinquent Account
- Your account will be considered a "delinquent account" when failure to pay by an invoice due date.
- Any current in-house projects will be placed on hold. No new work will be accepted.
- All outstanding invoices must be paid to return to "acceptable" status.
- Several automated email reminders are sent for overdue invoices that include a link to pay online.
- Once a delinquent account status is resolved, work will continue.
- Your account may no longer be eligible for Net 30 terms for custom work. Payment will then be required prior to any products shipping.
Shipping
- Most orders are completed within 10 to 14 business days (2-3 weeks). For more information on orders, please read our FAQ for turnaround.
- We ship primarily using FedEx Overnight and FedEx 2-day
- If you require a different carrier (FedEx or UPS) and/or method, please let us know. Additional shipping and handling fees may apply.
- If emailing us a shipping label to use, it must be received before 4:00PM CST the day the item is ready to ship.
- We do not ship outside of the United States.
Additional shipping information (from our FAQ): Specialty Casting shipped my order, but I have not received it yet:
- Before reaching out to us, please track your order. All orders are shipped using a shipping method that will have a tracking number. The tracking number is on the invoice you received via email. Additional emails from the courier (USPS, FedEx, UPS) may have been sent.
- If you provided us a shipping label, the tracking number may not be on the emailed invoice. It is assumed you have the tracking number. The invoice is still emailed when the item is shipped.
- If you did not receive any emails with a tracking number, please check your spam folder first. Also, if we do not have an email address on file for you, or it has changed, please contact us and provide us an email address for billing and shipping purposes.
- All order are shipped with signature required. If the package was signed for and delivered, our responsibility stops at the signature. If you or an acting representative for your company did not sign for it, that is identity theft/mail fraud. Specialty Casting, LLC is not responsible for those lost items. Our insurance coverage ends once it's been signed for and delivered.
- If there has not been a delivery attempt, and it's been 1-2 days after the expected delivery date, please let us know. We do monitor the tracking of each package, but sometimes it may be a day or two later that we check the statuses.
- In the event of a package being lost, that was not delivered, we will evaluate filing an insurance claim and address remaking the items at that time.
Order Cancellation
Once an order is placed, custom job approved for manufacturing, waxes received along with manufacturing instructions, the order can be canceled within 48 hours. However, if CAD is completed or 3D print completed and the order is cancelled, you will still be billed for completed services.
Return & Refund Policy
Under certain circumstances we reserve the right to deny a return. Items returned are inspected and evaluated when received. Failure to include a copy of the invoice and note describing the reason for return are subject to additional processing fees.
- Please email or contact us prior to shipping an item back.
- If we shipped the wrong item, simply ship it back to us and we will correct the order.
- 3D printed sample models are non-returnable.
- Cast only and Cast & clip jobs are non-returnable.
- Engraved & enameled items are non-returnable.
- Items ordered as "blank" (without stones), resized, altered, or damaged will not be accepted for return.
- The following are non-refundable: 3D Scanning, 3D CAD, 3D printing, cast only (your metal) flask fee, rush fees, shipping and handling fees.
- Items that are eligible for return must be returned within 15 days of the order being received.
- Important: A copy of the invoice must be included with the return, along with a note describing why the item is being returned.
- Customer requests for a "refund" for a return may be subject to a 20% processing/restocking fee.
Copyright abuse
Specialty Casting responds expeditiously to notices of claimed copyright infringement and terminate users or account holders who are "repeat infringers". We will respond to copyright infringement notices sent via our Contact form. If you do not provide enough information on the form for us to reach out to you, the claim may be discarded.
Blocking of IP Addresses
In order to protect the integrity of our online services, Specialty Casting reserves the right at any time in its sole discretion to block users originating from certain IP addresses from accessing our website or email server.
Notice of Changes
Specialty Casting reserves the right to change or update the Terms & Conditions, or any other of our disclaimers, policies or practices, at any time without notice. Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Under certain circumstances, we may also elect to notify you of changes by additional means, such as posting a notice on the front page of our website or sending you an e-mail.
